A Simple Space: My Edinburgh
15th Jul 2016
We caught up with the cast of A Simple Space, returning for their 3rd year at the Edinburgh Fringe! They gave us their best tips on where to go and what to see!
Have you performed at the Fringe before?
Yes, in 2013 and 2014. We are returning this year with a bigger and better version!
Where’s your favourite spot in Edinburgh?
Arthur's seat for sunrise on the last night of the festival. Also, you can't miss a good feed at the mosque kitchen!
What will you be packing in your suitcase for the Fringe?
A spare riot shield could come in handy when the swarm of flyerers descends en masse!
Do you know who Greyfriars Bobby is?
We sure do! There's the funky statue that commemorates the loyal dog that guarded his owners grave for 10+ years. We're also pretty sure we met there for a pubcrawl a few years ago...
What’s the best show you’ve ever seen at the Fringe?
Elephant In The Room is our favourite circus show we've seen at the Fringe but if you're looking a more unique experience then White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is a show not to be missed.
What’s the best piece of advice you’d give (or have been given) about the Fringe?
See as many shows as you can - you can sleep when you're dead!
To ceilidh or not to ceilidh?
We've never been to one but we plan to change that this year.
What can audiences expect from your show?
Stripped back and raw acrobatics. No sequins or frills, just 7 acrobats pushing themselves to their limits. Audiences can expect to see acrobatics up close and personal and spend the show on the edge of their seats feeling the heat and energy on stage. We have an amazing time on stage and you won't leave the building without a huge smile on your face.
