Katie Brennan: My Edinburgh

28th Jun 2016

For anyone out there who might be taking their very own quarter life crisis to the Fringe, we got some sound advice from Katie Brennan, who gave us her best survival tips...

Have you performed at the Fringe before? Yes- 2006, 2008, 2010.

Where’s your favourite spot in Edinburgh? Anywhere that serves deep fried haggis.

What will you be packing in your suitcase for the Fringe? My raincoat for the weather, ibuprofen for the hangovers, berocca for my immune system and my tartan underwear for the fathoms of fringe flings I plan on having.

Do you know who Greyfriars Bobby is? I think I made out with him once in the toilet in Opium...

What’s the best show you’ve ever seen at the Fringe? Translunar Paradise by Theatre Ad Infinitum for the weeping; Mr Swallow in Dracula the Musical for the laughing.

What’s the best piece of advice you’d give (or have been given) about the Fringe? It's a marathon not a sprint. And carry hand sanitiser in your bag.

To ceilidh or not to ceilidh? CEILIDH HARD but only if one is wearing a decent sports bra.

What can audiences expect from your show? Laughter, warmth, rude songs, 90s nostalgia and to leave going 'THAT IS MY LIFE!'

See Katie Brennan's Quarter-Life Crisis in the Wee Coo at Underbelly George Square from 3 - 29 August (not 15).
