Tom Walker: My Edinburgh
29th Jul 2016
Read all about what Tom Walker's expecting from his Fringe debut for a lovely giggle then see his show at Underbelly's Wee Coo in George Square from 3 - 29 August (not 15).
Have you performed at the Fringe before?
No I haven't! I've never even been to Edinburgh before.
Where’s your favourite spot in Edinburgh?
Never been but my dad says he really liked The Tilted Wig, the Rose & Crown and Edinburgh Castle. The first two are pubs so I think he just panicked and tried to say something cultural for the last one. Didn't work.
What will you be packing in your suitcase for the Fringe?
Notebooks, pencils and markers - drawing relaxes me a lot during my downtime. Also, MANY ILLEGAL AUSTRALIAN DRUGS AND FINERIES so I can meet sniffer dogs while they work.
Do you know who Greyfriars Bobby is?
The comedian Daniel Sloss has told me that this is a Scottish sex act and as a result I refuse to google it.
What’s the best show you’ve ever seen at the Fringe?
I caught Dr Brown's Blerfdgth in Sydney (shut up it counts) and it's for sure the best thing I've ever seen.
What’s the best piece of advice you’d give (or have been given) about the Fringe?
I've been repeatedly told "don't let it break you" which is great advice for anything.
To ceilidh or not to ceilidh?
I refuse to google this (see: Greyfriars Bobby) so I asked on Twitter and apparently yes I will ceilidh, thank you! One ceilidh please!
What can audiences expect from your show?
A very stupid hour of playful idiocy and, for about 5 minutes, magic tricks by someone who's never done magic.
