Tremolo Theatre: My Edinburgh

26th Jul 2016

We spoke to the cast of The Hours Before We Wake from Tremolo Theatre, performing in Underbelly's Belly Button, Cowgate, from 5 - 28 August (not 16). Here's what they're expecting from their Edinburgh debut...

Have you performed at the Fringe before?

No, this is our first time. It’s always been a dream of ours, which fits in well with our show about dreaming!

Where’s your favourite spot in Edinburgh?

We’ve heard rumour that Elephants & Bagels is the place to go, so expect to find us there with a bagel in hand.

What will you be packing in your suitcase for the Fringe?

Walking boots. Apparently you walk for miles seeing as many other shows as possible.

Do you know who Greyfriars Bobby is?

We didn’t but we do now. Isn’t technology great….

What’s the best show you’ve ever seen at the Fringe?

We’ve never been before, so how about The Hours Before We Wake...

What’s the best piece of advice you’d give (or have been given) about the Fringe?

As well as the walking boots we’re going to pack all-weather gear. Apparently it’s four seasons in one day up there.

To ceilidh or not to ceilidh?

Definitely to ceilidh. We’ve been stripping the willow and eightsome reeling in rehearsals.

What can audiences expect from your show?

It’s a sharp dystopian comedy so as well as being fun and futuristic, it’s also thought provoking. You can also expect an intricate sound design, original music, a touch of slapstick plus a tightly contested cake competition.
