Many of you have been asking what's going to happen to our iconic upside-down purple cow as Bristo Square & McEwan Hall undergo redevelopment for the next two years. We've just announced that Udderbelly will be relocating to a brand new pasture in nearby George Square, alongside Assembly Festival in the east side.
Udderbelly was the original home of Into the Hoods, the ZooNation musical which then transferred to the West End, and has played host to a huge range of artists including Stewart Lee, Demetri Martin, Jerry Sadowitz, Reginald D Hunter, Rhys Darby, Jim Jefferies, Ruby Wax and Beardyman. Udderbelly has also been one of the recent successful exports from the Edinburgh Fringe, located as it is every summer from April to July in the shadow of the London Eye as the Udderbelly Festival at Southbank Centre.
We're thrilled that Udderbelly will continue to host the best in comedy, circus and more this Fringe from 5 - 31 August before returning to Bristo Square when the redevelopment work is complete, which is expected sometime before the Fringe of 2017.
