Circus Baobab: Yé!

Yé! (Water): What if ruins became the setting for a rebirth?

An exciting collective of artists from Guinea and the diaspora bring their debut show, Yé!, to Edinburgh. Showcasing incredible acrobatics, vertiginous human pyramids, hand-to-hand combat and contortions all performed in a frenetic rhythm.

'Full of punch and blending traditional expressions of circus with modernity' (Télérama), the thirteen young artists call us together to build a world of tomorrow that will take care of nature and it's future. 'Wherever they perform, the atmosphere is electric' (Le Monde). 'A high-flying acrobatic performance with no safety net' (RFI).

Barbaren Barbies: A Wild Women Circus

Barbaren Barbies: A Wild Women Circus

Witty, touching, hilarious and unapologetic. Watch these barbarians smash together incredible acrobatics, dance and comedy with delightfully shocking silliness. Five ridiculous superheroines playfully tease stereotypes and tackle the complexity of womanhood. It's as if the underground Berlin circus scene had a beautiful love child with a Vegas Spice Girl. Bursting onto the Berlin scene in 2022, the Barbaren Barbies have successfully toured throughout Germany, Austria and Poland. This international company is now ready to shake up the Fringe.

OH OH

After the stunning success of PSS PSS, the multi-award-winning Compagnia Baccalà returns to the Fringe with OH OH! This new show is firmly placed in the history of clowning, harkening back to such figures as Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and Fellini. OH OH is a wordless performance, a joyful combination of acrobatics, humour, and slapstick. It is a slice in the life of a double act, an absurd pas-de-deux, an encounter between clowning circus and physical theatre at its best. 'A marvel.' (LeFigaro.fr). 'A triumphant return.' (LaRegione.ch).

Circa: Humans 2.0

Ten bodies appear in a flash of light. They move in harmony for a fleeting moment, then descend into a sinuous trance. Towers grow and decay, bodies leap and are caught, physical limits are pushed to their extreme. The second chapter of Circa’s internationally acclaimed Humans is a symphony of acrobatics, sound and light. This is next level circus by Circa. ‘Everything in Humans 2.0 is flawless’ ★★★★★ (Scotsman) ★★★★★ (List) ★★★★★ (BroadwayBaby.com) Created by circus visionary Yaron Lifschitz and pulsing with music by composer Ori Lichtik.
