New-in-town, Nancy (fabulous, yet chaotic) scrambles to get through a massive to-do list with some assistance from her friends (talented, yet largely unhelpful) as guests are already arriving. The pressure is on for everything to be perfect. Hair. Done.  Outfit. Fabulous.  Shoes… Where’s my other shoe!? Expect world-class acrobatics, high heels on treadmills, human-sized balloons, extravagant outfit changes and a cameo from a certain French-Canadian diva. Starring acrobatic clown Arielle Lauzon as the indomitable Nancy, THE RUCKUS is an explosive, inclusive, and joyful circus show performed by a wholly female and non-binary cast.  

In Nose Dive Assembly we meet Pierrot, the distracted mistress of ceremonies, who is meant to be running the show – but she can’t focus. The circus swirls around her, yet something’s holding her back. While the troupe take to the skies, she’s stuck on the ground. She yearns to fly. Featuring a range of large-scale contemporary circus disciplines including teeterboard, highwire and the Wheel of Death – a huge rotating apparatus described as 'hypnotic to watch... when momentum builds, it’s as if the person reaching the summit has a moment of zero gravity' (Guardian).
